RF Systems Expert · DAS Specialist
With 15 years of hands-on radio frequency engineering experience, Matt Lunny has personally completed over 1,000 in-building RF designs and commissioned several thousand distributed antenna system projects across the United States.
His expertise spans Public Safety DAS / ERRCS and Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems — two disciplines that are often treated separately but share deep technical overlap. Matt founded DAS Trainers to bring that depth directly to contractors, engineers, and AHJs who need real-world knowledge, not classroom theory.

Lead Instructor · 15 Years RF Experience
Across commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and government facilities nationwide.
End-to-end commissioning of DAS systems from design through final acceptance testing.
Deep expertise spanning Public Safety DAS / ERRCS and Cellular distributed antenna systems.
Public Safety DAS / ERRCS and Cellular DAS — both taught from direct, extensive field experience.
Matt's expertise isn't theoretical — it's built from thousands of real projects, real challenges, and real solutions deployed in the field.
Public Safety DAS and ERRCS (also called ERCES) are two names for the same system — in-building radio infrastructure that keeps first responders connected. Matt has designed and commissioned these systems for hospitals, high-rises, stadiums, and government facilities nationwide. His work spans NFPA 1225 compliance, BDA architecture, donor antenna placement, and the full documentation required to satisfy local fire marshals and AHJs.
From passive DAS in smaller venues to active multi-operator systems in large campuses, Matt has coordinated directly with major carriers, managed RF design from link budget through commissioning, and optimized systems post-deployment for peak performance.
Over 1,000 in-building RF designs means Matt has encountered virtually every propagation challenge, building material variable, and system architecture decision that exists in the field. He translates that depth into practical, teachable frameworks.
